再 Not to be confused with 冉 (rǎn)
1. Another / Once more / Again / To another degree or level
- 再次 (zài cì) Another time
- 再过不久 (zài guò bù jiǔ) Soon Literal. Another passing of not long
- 再接再厉 (zài jiē zài lì) Persistent efforts Literal. Once more continue (next challenge), once more sharpen (one's abilities)
- 再来 (zài lái) Come again
- 再婚 (zài hūn) To get married again
- 再大 (zài dà) Bigger
- 再小 (zài xiǎo) Smaller
- 再多 (zài duō) More
- 再少 (zài shǎo) Lesser
2. After / Then
Added between two actions to show sequence
- 功课做完了再玩 (gōng kè zuò wán le zài wán) Play after homework is completed Literal. Homework completed, then, play
- 见到他再做决定 (jiàn dào tā zài zuò jué dìng) Decide after meeting him Literal. Meet him, then, decide

再1说 (zài shuō) Also / Moreover / Furthermore / Besides Literal. Another say - often used to add on to a certain point that has been made
不要再1说了 (bù yào zài shuō yī biàn) Say no more Literal. Don't want to again say
再1说一遍 (zài shuō yī biàn) To say again / Repeat Literal. Again say one round
明天再2说 (míng tiān zài shuō) Literal. Tomorrow then say
