+ PERSONAL NOTE +
When making reference to a combination of numerals, especially phone numbers, the numeral "1" is often read as 幺 (yāo) – to mean "the smallest". In China, "110" is the emergency number for the police and "120" for the ambulance – they are pronounced "yāo yāo líng" and "yāo èr líng" respectively.
